Custom Cut Beef

Are you interested in shopping straight from your own freezer for dinner?

Do you like saving a ton of money? (like $4+/lb less than retail!)

Do you have at least 4 cubic feet of freezer space?

What about having complete control over what cuts are ordered?

If you said yes to these questions it sounds like you're ready to dive right into the world of custom cut beef. The process can seem very overwhelming the first couple of times, but I totally got you! Below I have outlined the process, but please feel free email us anytime at [email protected] if you still have questions. 

Our next beef is scheduled to go to the butcher on January 17th, February 14, March 13th, April 17th, May 8th, June 12th, July 17th, August 14th, September 11th, October 9th, November 6th and December 18th. Deposits are due ten days before the butcher date. 

Price
The price is $6.50/lb hanging weight. The average hanging weight for a quarter is 200 pounds. It may be a bit more or less - there is no guarantee. The first $200 pays to reserve your quarter then the remainder is due at pick up. 

Process
  1. Once you have paid your deposit you will receive an email confirming your reservation. 
  2. About a week before the beef is sent to freezer camp we will be reaching out by phone to go over your cut sheet. We do not expect you to be an expert here. At all. We will go over it bit by bit. If you would like to be prepared I have put together a Cut Sheet Guide for you to look over. 
  3. On your butcher date we will relay your cut sheet to the processor. Nothing is due on this date. 
  4. About two weeks later I will have pick up specifics (date, time, location) out in an email as well as your remaining cost. 
  5. At pick up the remaining cost is due. Have a decent amount of your trunk space/seat space available for boxes! You can expect 3-5 boxes. 
  6. Take your delicious, pasture-raised meat home, place it in the freezer, cook a whole lot, take pretty pictures and tag us all over social media @WITFarmOH!
